This vibrant community is home to some of the most incredible artisans. Named after North Davidson Street & shortened with a fun creative flair sometimes found in other metro cities, NoDa embraces all that makes it unique. Before this art district became what it is, textile mills flourished. The mills started closing in the 50's & 60's & it wasn't until artist started seeing the vision of this eclectic neighborhood in the mid- 80's. The galleries were the first to thrive, giving it the title of the Arts District. While funky restaurants, breweries, lively venues & trendy boutique abound, the art can still be seen throughout. One thing is for sure this artsy hood is full of life!
NO. 1 | HABERDISH Why it is Concierge Approved | If you enjoy Southern cuisine, Haberdish will exceed all of your expectations! We highly recommend reservations as the line has been known to trail out of the door, but if a last minute trip happens, we promise the food is worth the wait. When you walk in the door you are greeted by a chic, slightly rustic décor and the most amazing smell of fried chicken. Instant mouthwatering moment! Of course who can resist a beautiful cocktail, so we always start with one and either the Hushpuppies or the Smoked Deviled Eggs. If you have heard about Haberdish, more than likely it is because so many think it's home to the best fried chicken in Charlotte. It is delicious, cooked to perfection, with that crispy, crunchy outside and moist, flavorful meat inside...so good! We can't resist a good lemon bar at CLT's Finest, so make sure yo leave a little room for that zesty treat.

NO. 2 | CREPE CELLAR Why it is Concierge Approved | While we know Crepe Cellar makes an amazing dinner, this is sort of a brunch spot for us. Plus, it is so much more than just crepes both on the brunch and dinner menu. The ambiance has a little of a European vibe, but it's warm, cozy and perfect for brunching. The Bloody Mary is a little spicy and adds to that warmth, so it is a good way to start things off. The Pesto Brie Fries are a must! If you are in the mood for crepes, the Ham and Gruyere is just heaven with a little sweet, a little salty and there is a house made sauce they drizzle over the top that will want to asking for a bottle to go. A great pairing in our opinion is also the French Onion Soup and the Smoked Beet Salad. We are big fans of beet salads and this one is so delicious with the pops of the blackberry goat cheese, toasted almonds and honey lemon vinaigrette.

NO. 3 | AMELIE'S FRENCH BAKERY Why it is Concierge Approved | Macarons, tarts and croissants...oh my! Everything at Amelie's is absolutely delectable. They offer a wide variety of sweet and savory treats. We have tried many on the menu and almost always look at the cases and cases of treats before deciding on a few. Let's talk sweet options. The salted caramel brownie is rich and delicious. If you like that fresh lemon pop, the lemon spritzers are perfect. The macarons are the best in town for sure. The savory is equally amazing with croque monsieur, turkey bacon croissant or one of the many quiches. Pair your savory with a soup, we promise you will not regret it!

NO. 4 | CABO FISH TACO Why it is Concierge Approved | When a restaurant is featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives & tried by Guy Fieri, that is a pretty good sign the food is goooooodddd! So grab a Jumbo Margarita and start weighing your options, as everything is delicious at Cabo. The tacos are large, so be careful when ordering...they fill you up quickly & you might need a fork to take in all this goodness. It's hard to follow that up, but if you are feeling extra hungry, try the Baja Shrimp and Crab Dip with warm pita chips. We recommend the Honey Soy Glazed Salmon Tacos, Lemon Tuna Tacos & the BBQ Mahi Tacos. Looking to mix it up a little bit, try the Epic Tuna Burrito the flavor combination is so flavorful. I'm not sure what it is but the way they prepare the tortilla before they load it with the fresh ingredients, just makes it.

NO. 5 | SABOR Why it is Concierge Approved | Do we dare say "Best Nachos in Charlotte"? Really! The queso is creamy & flavorful. The chips are always fresh & have a season that will pop in your mouth. Add to the queso, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole & protein & beans of your choice. The tacos are delicious - try them authentico. The Elote Loco is street corn at it's best! Everything is authentic & reasonably priced. The complimentary salsa bar offers a variety of salsas & sauces to match you heat preference. So good!

NO. 6 | NODA BODEGA Why it is Concierge Approved | Looking for one of the most incredible sandwiches in NoDa, look no further than Noda Bodega. This is one of those spots you could come every day because they have a sandwich special, but the menu regulars command attention, as well. One of our favorites it the Bodega Cuban! Finding a truly phenomenal Cuban sandwich around Charlotte is a little harder than you might think. We also would recommend trying Afternoon Delight, if they happen to have it as the special. This panini features cheese, avocado and tomato paired with a turkey that has a little spicy kick. They have a nice little patio to relax and even enjoy a beer with your meal.

So many of the items offer that International flair - they have really cool boho accessories, tribal patterned pieces, hand-embroidered textiles and rich fabrics. Such a fun and unique shopping experience!

NO. 2 | SUMMERBIRD Why it is Concierge Approved | This fashionable boutique specializes in a mix of modern, boho & vintage clothing. The store has a minimalist vibe making it great for easy shopping. They offer some amazing dresses, denim, vintage tees, blouses and so much more. It's a fun place to shop for purses and accessories you wouldn't find anywhere else.

NO. 1 | NEIGHBORHOOD THEATRE Why it is Concierge Approved | This venue offers a smaller space to have a more intimate performing experience. Originally a movie theater, you can view the artists at a little more elevated level. Most of the "seating" is standing room only, however, you can pay a little more for a table or reserved seats. With 2 stages, a bar and great sound system, this is a wonderful place to see your favorite bands.

NO. 2 | HISTORIC ROSEDALE PLANTATION Why it is Concierge Approved | Since 1815, the Historic Rosedale Plantation has been part of Charlotte's history and has been providing guided tours. It has been lovingly restored and they ask that no pictures be taken onsite. The blacksmith shop has been recreated to reflect the era and the gardens are stunning. Many have weddings on the grounds, but guided tours are the most popular.

Why it is Concierge Approved | Amongst Noda's artsy vibe, this gallery is a popular spot! You can rent the space for events and weddings. There is a Farmer's Market held on the grounds on Saturday mornings in the spring and summer months which is one of the area's most attended.
