Why it is Concierge Approved | One of the things we enjoy the most about Inizio is, for lack of better words, their "out of the box" thinking when it comes to toppings & unique ingredients. To create their signature dough, they use water & flour imported from Italy. So delicious! Most of their Pizze (yes, they prefer the plural word & you will see it on the menu) is made with either the traditional red sauce or specialty which may feature a delicious pesto or no sauce. Our favorites include: Margherita, Bianca, Diavola & Pistacchio. (In the fall the Pumpkin is a unique treat but our favorite seasonal might just be the Primavera.) Make sure to save room for the daily or seasonal cannolis (in the summer the Orange Crème tastes just like an orange creamsicle) or the daily gelato. So refreshing!

Why it is Concierge Approved | If you are looking for a fun & laidback spot, Mellow Mushroom is just the place. It has a playful hippie motif & sort of a funky feel. There is an impressive beer list, wine selection & great drink specials throughout the week. Start with the pretzel bites, it is an explosion of pretzel, garlic butter & parmesan goodness or we love the pretzels with marinara. The greek salad brimming with flavor & is the ideal match to the Kosmic Karma pizza. The Kosmic Karma is topped with feta cheese, mozzarella, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes & pesto swirl. The dough of the pizza is homemade & is buttery. If you happen to be gluten free, they have some really great GF pizza options!

Why it is Concierge Approved | Bisonte means Buffalo in Italian & the owners are two brothers from Buffalo, NY & bringing their family recipes to the Queen City. Known for their awards for both their wings & their pizza, we usually have to indulge in both. The pizza crust comes in two options: Buffalo (which is a more of a deep dish, thicker crust) or New York (which is thin). No matter your crust, both are covered in a tangy sauce, generous toppings & edge-to-edge cheese. We order the 3 Cheese Steak & The Bisonte Classic. Our side is always the wings, "from the pit" charbroiled & covered in the Carolina Gold sauce. Their homemade bleu cheese & ranch dressings are great for dipping not only your wings but the crust of your pizza.

Why it is Concierge Approved | Let us just say Brooklyn Pizza might just have the best Eggplant Marinara Pizza we've ever had! Let's talk about the crust, it's thin, but not too thin, & crispy enough to hold up to the toppings. The fresh crushed tomato pizza sauce is amazing! Many New Yorker's have given this place the seal of approval & while we are not New Yorker's it is pretty good NY Style pizza. The atmosphere is inviting & relaxing with a fireplace right in the middle of the room. No matter where you are seated you feel like you have a little privacy which is nice. me privacy no matter where you sit. Why it is Concierge Approved | The menu is a compact but everything is thoughtfully designed & absolutely delicious. With nine pizzas, they have stayed focused on classic flavors using the freshest ingredients. In addition to the pizza they have sandwiches made with house-made bread, salads, a variety of small plates & of course, some mouthwatering homemade pastas. The service is a little more of a fast-casual, as you order at the counter, find a seat in the modern but intimate dining area & then your pizza is brought to your table. The pizza is made to order but cooks quickly (approx. 90 seconds), so usually you won't be waiting long. Our typical order has to include the antipasto platter & gelato...as for our pizza selection Prosciutto (if you like red sauce) & Mozzone (if you prefer white sauce). Either way so good!
