NO. 1 | ILIOS NOCHE Why it is Concierge Approved | If you are looking to enjoy a little bit of Mediterranean, Ilios Noche is our go to. They offer a nice mix of authentic Greek & Italian cuisine. When it comes to the food, everything is eye-catching & delicious. Our recommendations start off with some of the killer appetizer (meze). The Taste of Spreads is delicious & great to share, as it features four spreads & pita. The Grilled Octopus, Angry Shrimp & Eggplant Chips are also starters we tend to gravitate to. If you like lamb, you have to try the Lamb Burger. It truly is phonemical! We also enjoy the Ilios Pita Sandwich with a side Greek salad. The flavor of the tzatziki sauce is the best. Each dish has it's own unique flavor & is seasoned to perfection. With a good selection of wine, you are sure to find one to pair with your meal. If you prefer cocktails, try the Seasonal Mule (if you are a vodka & ginger beer fan) so unique, plus the ginger beer is house made. The atmosphere is casual & relaxing adding to the allure for big groups or even date night. Typically, live music is playing, however, don't worry...it's not loud & they have perfected that level where you can still have a conversation while you enjoy!

NO. 2 | CHICKEN SALAD CHICK Why it is Concierge Approved | Making Chicken Salad fun & offering it up in flavor profiles you would have never imagined is what Chicken Salad Chick is all about. With 12 varieties on the menu there is something for everyone. If you have never tried non-traditional chicken salad flavors, simply ask for a sample. The staff is always friendly & helpful when it comes to making taste selections. Our favorites are of course the traditional Classic Carol, the Sassy Scottie (ranch, bacon, & shredded cheddar cheese), the Cranberry Kelly (cranberries, & slivered almonds) & the Jalapeño Holly (jalapeños). You can have them served on your salad, in sandwich form or even plain. If you are a pimento cheese fan, they have a great one! The atmosphere has a whimsical & southern vibe to it. It's a fun place to relax & enjoy a casual meal.

NO. 3 | UMAMI POKERITO Why it is Concierge Approved | A little over a year ago, Charlotte couldn't stop talking about Sushi Burritos. Umami Pokerito was the leader & they are making sushi burritos just the way you like them. They do have the chef signature options, if you like to order combinations you know match up. No matter what you decide all of the ingredients are fresh & delicious. One of the things we highly recommend is to start with the shishido peppers. They're perfectly cooked & the sauce is amazing. Our favorite chef signature burritos are the Umami, Sunrise & Zen! Seating is limited, but it's fun to sit & watch the chef's roll everything in front of you.

NO. 4 | HAWTHORNE'S PIZZA Why it is Concierge Approved | While we are not from New York, we know that this New York style pizzeria is everything we are looking for when it comes to slices of deliciousness. All of the pizzas offer a very nice mild sauce & sit on a buttery thin crust. As far as toppings, we are fans of the Elizabeth Special, Crew & Luau Specialty Pizzas. They do live up to their saying "more than just pizza'; we think they have one of the best Penne Ala Vodka Pastas in the Queen City! To add some freshness we usually split either the Greek Salad or the Gorgonzola Salad.

NO. 5 | WILD EAST PAN-ASIAN BISTRO Why it is Concierge Approved | This restaurant is just a few miles away from Quail Hollow on Carmel Road & is almost like a secret little gem. One of the things that makes Wild East one of those places you just have to try is they have something Asian for everyone...Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, etc. All the ingredients are fresh & they will customize your dish based on tastes & health specifications if you simply ask. If you are a sushi lover, on Sunday through Thursday you'll want to take advantage of their purchase of one sushi roll, get a second one half off. It's such a great deal & their sushi is wonderful!

NO. 1 | SURROUNDINGS Why it is Concierge Approved | Surroundings is one of those Queen City Spots where you can always find a unique gift! Every time you enter the doors there is something new to see & they change things seasonally making it one of those you have to stop in often. For the home they feature fine décor, accessories you can't find everywhere & kitchen items. Playful & trendy gifts are sprinkled throughout. The children's section has little inexpensive fun toys all the way up to some beautiful clothing & more expensive items, making it a great place to shop for new baby or birthday gifts. You won't be disappointed you popping into this little Charlotte gem.

NO. 1 | QUAIL HOLLOW COUNTRY CLUB Why it is Concierge Approved | This private country club focuses on golf & tends to maintain a high profile member base. It is a private membership club for only about 300 families. Every spring the club opens up it's course & hosts the PGA's Well Fargo Championship. This is an event the CLT's Finest Team attends every year! We wouldn't miss it! It's exciting to see golf's top athletes & creates some fond memories of this beautiful course. Some of Charlotte's most prestigious addresses dot the landscape around the course making for a gorgeous backdrop.
