October means time for all things beer and Oktoberfest! While Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is hosting the Charlotte areas most popular event, the 12th annual Mecktoberfest, we know it can be just as fun to just go relax at one of the local breweries. So here are our top five picks when it comes to drinking a cold one.
NO. 1 | NODA BREWING
Brew of Choice | Hop Drop & Roll & Summer Jam
Why it is Concierge Approved | Noda Brewing is one of the best all in one locations. Not only do they have some of CLT's most loved beers; but they also feature: outside patio, great bartenders, fun activities & local food trucks. They cater to not only to the adult crowd but kids & pets. It's a great spot for everyone. Plus did we mention the amazing beer! So one of the fun things about this brewery is that their two locations are pretty different. The Original (known to many as the OG) is a larger location & house their barrel room. You can find all of their brews here. You might not be so luck at the NorthEnd location.

Brew of Choice | Christmas Cookie (Seasonal), Southern Girl or Mountain Candy
Why it is Concierge Approved | Known for their colorful & sometimes controversial cans, Sycamore has some really fun blends. The brewery seems to be a hot spot! Maybe it's the convenient SouthEnd location, maybe it's the events like Food Truck Friday that draw a crowd or even their popular Sunday Brunch.

Brew of Choice | Copper or Captain Jack
Why it is Concierge Approved | If you don't fall in love with the Biergarten, you will for sure feel like you have traveled to Germany. Known for it's award winning brews such as OMB Copper, Captain Jack or Hornets Nest. Many come for the beer but you'll stay for the wide range of activities including yoga, cornhole, firepits and delicious German cuisine. You can take brewery tours during certain times and the outdoor spaces are dog and kid friendly.

Brew of Choice | Juicy Jay
Why it is Concierge Approved | So one of the really interesting things we enjoy about Legion is you can enjoy a different vibe at each. The original Plaza Midwood location has a really cool vibe where the taproom over looks the brewers below. Food trucks frequent and add some amazing flavors. The SouthPark location offers a wide variety of gourmet food and a more swanky interior vibe. Each location blends with the neighborhood in which they reside, Both serve the amazing beers Legion is known for, showcase some beautiful reclaimed wood and both have some fun outdoor spaces.

Brew of Choice | Easy Ringer or Citrus Jammer
Why it is Concierge Approved | This brewery is home to 2 brewers - Victory and Southern Tier. There are about 40 different brews, great bar, a retail space and plenty of outdoor seating. They also offer some great spaces for parties and events. One of the big draws beyond the beers is the incredible food. They offer some really amazing dishes - homemade pimento cheese, buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, heirloom BLT and gourmet shareables.
